About IT CloudLink
IT CloudLink was built on infrastructure work most MSPs don't touch. That background shapes how we approach every engagement -- regardless of size.
The Work
Before IT CloudLink, the work was enterprise -- Toyota North America datacenter consolidation, the TV Guide LA datacenter build, network infrastructure at UCLA Health, and MIS operations at Fox Sports. These aren't logos. They're environments where downtime has legal, financial, and in some cases clinical consequences.
That's the standard we apply to every engagement. A 12-person medical practice and a 500-person enterprise have different budgets and different complexity -- but the same expectation that the infrastructure works, the data is protected, and someone technically accountable is reachable when something goes wrong.
IT CloudLink is a single-engineer practice by design. When you engage us, you're talking to the person doing the work -- not a dispatcher routing your ticket to whoever's available that day.
Where engagements require specialized depth -- network security assessment, compliance scoping, or infrastructure architecture outside the core practice -- we draw on a network of vetted practitioners built over 15 years of enterprise work. The accountability stays with us. The capability scales when it needs to.

The Team
John (Chris) Rondthaler
Principal Consultant & Owner
15+ years in enterprise infrastructure -- Toyota North America, UCLA Health, Fox Sports. Now applies that background to healthcare and legal SMBs that need real IT without the enterprise overhead. Hands-on with every engagement from audit to deployment.
LinkedIn
Stacy Freeman
Client Services & Sales
The primary point of contact for onboarding, client communication, and service coordination. Stacy keeps engagements organized and clients informed -- so technical work moves forward without administrative friction getting in the way.
LinkedIn
Tom Adams
HR, Marketing & Sales
Handles business development, marketing operations, and HR for IT CloudLink. Tom brings the organizational structure that lets the technical side of the practice stay focused on delivery rather than administration.
LinkedInHow We Work
Every engagement starts by documenting what exists. We don't recommend solutions to problems we haven't confirmed are real.
Findings are ordered by impact -- regulatory risk, breach likelihood, operational consequence. Not by what's easiest to bill against.
Architecture decisions, remediation findings, compliance assessments -- all written and delivered to you. You own the documentation, not the relationship.
Single-engineer practice by design. No account managers, no dispatch queues. The person who designed your infrastructure is the person who answers when something breaks.
R&D Background
Private AI deployment for regulated industries isn't a service we assembled from vendor documentation. The production stack -- vLLM inference, Open WebUI, Qdrant vector storage, Prometheus/Grafana observability -- runs in an active homelab environment with the same hardware constraints our clients face.
When we specify an on-premises AI appliance for a healthcare client, we know what VRAM headroom a 14B parameter model requires in production, what the inference latency looks like under concurrent load, and where the failure modes are. That's not vendor demo knowledge.
The R&D work lives at rondthaler.dev -- same practice, same engineer, public-facing lab documentation and thought leadership.
Production AI Stack
Engagements start with a conversation about current state -- not a pitch about what we offer. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
